A Lost Factor-Jasmine's Story

Chapter 13-Miscellaneous Mayhem

Jasmine spend the rest of the night, and most of the next morning sitting, alone, very quiet, thinking. She really had lost her friends. If Jenni hadn't been able to break free of that illusion, she would have been reillusioned to make sure she couldn't. If she had broke free, she'd be here. Same with the others. They really were lost to her, for now.

It was about lunchtime when Jasmine realized that she was starting to really get hungry, and also noticed that she hadn't really slept. Noticing that there wasn't that much food there, she snuck out of the tower, trying to not disturb the sleeping Alimon.

About an hour later, she had finally gotten to normal downtown, having avoided the dark area as much as possible. She bought a quick snack, planning out what she needed to get. Top of her list, besides food for her and Alimon, was some sort of paint or signs to make a path to go around the dark area at night. Not knowing the downtown area that well, she took a bus to Saressi Plaza, the shopping center not too far from Jenni's house, and one she knew very well.

Walking down the main part of the plaza, Jasmine looked around at everything very interested. Some shops were new, some old, and the presence of digimon was almost surprising. She walked to the main food court, seeing most of the same places. Most of this food wouldn't be good long-term; she'd have to go to a grocery store for that stuff, so that was the next stop. For now, she got in line to get something to take back to Alimon, planning what stores to go to next, like maybe glow in the dark spraypaint to use on the stupid trees in the dark area.

Wedge stood in front of the door to Saressi Plaza, eyes gleaming with determination. "All right boys, looks like this is the spot. Says right here on this, er, 'map' I stole. This is the place, yeah, so, everyone know what they're going in there for? Leomon, you?" He asked, turning around to his right and looking up.

Leomon nodded and said "Yes sir, I have been assigned to grab the furniture, two chairs, a couch, and a small table" He then saluted in respect and fell silent, looking forwards.

Wedge turned to his left, seeing the new Soldier of his, Andromon, and asked "And you?"

Andromon stiffened and replied "Sir, capture a 'television', sir!" and saluted, body tense.

Wedge smiled and said "Good. And as for us" Wedge said, seeing Undramon appear out from the shadows beside the door. "We will go for the vending machine, we requirement refreshment" Wedge stated, walking inside with Undramon, waving back to his two backup soldiers who ran in behind him, all four of them entering at the same time.

Andromon walked into the electronics department of a store, eyes darting back and forth. Wedge had told him 'If you come in contact with any resistance, neutralize it'. That means deleting it right? I mean, since data is just retransferred into Digi-Eggs, it shouldn't be THAT much of a problem, right? He thought as he made his way down the aisle into the plasma television section.

Wedge and Undramon quickly walked in the food court, Undramon avoiding glances from humans, Wedge giving nasty looks to passerby's who happened to have never seen a Digimon before. "Ignorant fools, don't worry about them" Wedge said quietly, looking over at Undramon.

Leomon walked through the plaza, bored out of his mind. He decided to maybe try asking someone, so he halted, and looked around. Then, he stopped, dead in his tracks, eyes narrowed, staring at Jasmine. She is here, at this very mall, what are the chances? He needed to address her. He walked slowly behind her and said "Excuse me miss, I was wondering if I could ask you something" with a sly smirk on his lips.

Jasmine turned to face Leomon. "Sure, what is it?"

Leomon smiled again and asked "Do you know where the luxury furniture store, I need to, find something" and then waited patiently.

Jasmine thought for a moment. "Upstairs, if you go up the escalator right there, and turn left. It's a couple stores down. But it's for humans mostly, I think. I haven't been there for a while so they may have changed, or at least I would hope so, if things have...sorry, I got off topic. I hope that helps though."

"Thank you miss" Leomon bellowed then turned around, walking towards the escalators. However he said out loud "Watch yourself here, you're not safe if you stay here and he finds you," and continued to walk.

Back in the electronics store, Andromon had already picked up the Television and had turned away and began to walk to the exit, but heard a voice from behind him say "Hey, you, Digimon, you gonna pay for that?"

"What if I do not want to?" Andromon replied, turning around.

"Then I'm gonna have to take that back, you dirty thief. I know you're type, all you Digimon think you're so tough, well I got a news flash for ya, HUMANS ARE THE DOMINANT RACE, AND I CAN PROVE IT IF YOU DON'T HAND OVER THAT TV!" The electronics store man yelled, eyes bulging.

Andromon laughed and set the Television down behind him. "Fine, human, challenge me with your pathetic ways" He said, pounding his fist against his chest.

Meanwhile, at the food court, Wedge looked around, eyes narrowed as Undramon snuck behind the vending machine, and pulled out the plug to it. Immediately Wedge saw two guards come from a Restricted Area door and noticed both were walking in their direction. "Hurry this up Undramon, I don't want any confrontation" He said, eyes darting to his belt, where his Digivice was clipped.

Wedge smirked as he saw Undramon lifted the Vending machine and began to walk, but as the guards approached, Wedge knew he had to stand and fight while Undramon escaped. Wedge waited until the guards were close enough then appeared from behind the moving Undramon and dashed forwards, sprinting towards the two Security officers. Wedge ducked under one's grabbing arm, locked a tight grasp around the Guard's wrist and punched him in the gut, then tripped him down forwards, pulling him by the wrist down onto his stomach.

The second guard was a bit smarter, however. He knew how to dodged Wedge's trip maneuvers. So, instead of using the same technique, Wedge instead moved with the guard's dodges and once in a while got a punch in, either at the side or the neck, and noticed that the Guard was getting woozy.
