A Lost Factor-Jasmine's Story

Chapter 15-Meetings of Direction

Wedge walked with Undramon towards the Neo Tokyo store that Undramon had spotted Jasmine run into, and as they approached the front door, the owner hastily walked away from the door, obviously a viewer of the fight. Wedge opened the door, and let Undramon step in first, then stepped in himself. "Guard the door" Wedge said, and looked around, and everyone in the small store darted their eyes away as his own searched the aisles and shelves.

Jasmine held her breath, backing away into the nearest corner. She barely breathed as she watched him, and desperately trying to plan some sort of escape plan. If he was just here to talk and be friendly, he wouldn't be acting this way. She had to get out of here.

Wedge turned away and opened the door and said to the approaching Leomon and Andromon "Send for more digimon to help you take the stuff back, we'll join you later" He then closed the door in their faces and walked into the store further, walking down the middle aisle, hearing people moving to the door but stopping when they saw Undramon. Wedge rounded the corner and heard someone breathing behind him. He slowly turned around, a wild smirk on his lips.

Undramon put his hand up and said "Sorry, not going anywhere" and shook his head.

Jasmine looked around. She took a deep breath to try to calm down. "Let the other people go. They don't need to be here. And I need to talk to you anyway. What do you think you're doing?" She thought for a moment, and almost panicked. "You aren't working for Realemon, are you?"

Meanwhile, outside the mall, Andromon sat, bored. "I sent the call out, Skeet and TobuGuilmon should be here soon to help us" He said, leaning back against the wall outside.

Leomon nodded and looked away to the sky, and sighed.

A few minutes later, Skeet appears with TobuGuilmon and takes the lighter stuff, Skeet taking the chairs, TobuGuilmon taking the Vending machine on his back. Leomon takes the couch and table and Andromon takes the Television. They all disappear in the direction of Wedge's Base.

Inside the Neo Tokyo Anime Store, Wedge laughed, but lowered his eyes to stare at Jasmine. "You think I'd be working with her? I'm a lot stronger then her, I need to bow to no one" He said, and then continued, "How dare you even speak to me, you are the reason I am so cold, you do not ask things of me, unless they are what you want me to have to do for me in exchange for forgiveness!" He yelled, angry, his hands clenched in tight, throbbing fists.

Undramon left the door and began down the aisle, blocking the only exit for Jasmine. He looked behind him, seeing the others escape, but they did not need to stay.

"What?" Jasmine said, shocked. "I didn't do anything to you. I hadn't even seen you until today, I haven't even been here a week. I didn't do anything, to anyone. I come home and I'm still without my friends." She stopped, noticing that she was getting too worked up. Yelling and fighting was not the solution. "But you said you aren't working for Realemon? That's good to hear. Is there anyone else? Everyone I've found so far was..." Jasmine said, not mentioning Alysha. She wasn't going to bother Alysha, she didn't need to be involved in this anymore.

"HOW DARE YOU FORGET WHAT YOU DID TO ME, TO EVERYONE!" He yelled, staring at her as he got closer to her. "You could have helped us back then with Realemon, instead you just stood there, hiding, THINKING of how you MIGHT be able to help. You're useless do you hear me Jasmine? You had no abilities, no unique characteristics that could POSSIBLY have bee of any assistance, you don't even have a digimon" He growled, eyes fiery with anger and vengeance.

Jasmine didn't say anything, knowing part of what he said was true, and part wasn't. If they were remembering the same events. She'd tried to help, but, there wasn't anything she could do. Because, she was herself. "I'm sorry," Jasmine finally said. "I know I can't do anything, like you guys can. But it wasn't my fault that I got sent away. But I'm going to find a way to help now, somehow. I don't know exactly how, or anything, but I won't be useless. You know what happened to the world, the dimensions. It's not right, I have to fix it. And that is something that I know I can do, in time."

"You have no right to fix this, I do. I am a DigiDestined, I am one of the chosen, you have no place in the Digital World, so I tell you this. If I ever find you there, it won't be such a pleasant meeting as this has been. I will fix this, I will bring Pirelli back, you go and sit in your room and think" He said, then turned away.

Undramon turned about face and walked to the door and waited.

"Wazumi, or someone, messed up the dimensions!" Jasmine said, almost yelling. "The digital world is part of the real world, so it's just a mess, it's not the way it should be. It has to be fixed. But do you even know how to, never mind."

Jasmine stopped, trying to think logically instead of ranting about the mess that she still felt was her responsibility. Making the only digidestined here another enemy would make things worse. "Okay, I know you are, in this situation, more responsible for this, being one of the few digidestined still themselves, and probably the only one that's in Acamina. But I can't go back, I won't go back home. I'll be at Lunamon's tower if you need me. I doubt I'll be at my Acamina home, but I can be more useful here than back home. And, I'm sorry, I'm sorry I couldn't do anything before now. But, we've both lost friends in all this. We'll get them back."

Wedge said nothing as he turned to her again, a small hurt in his eyes, but quickly replaced with a cold, blank, piercing stare of pure hate. "Jasmine, do not put yourself in this. Whether or not you have friends, you do not have the proper ability to help them. Please, don't put yourself in unnecessary danger." He then quickly caught himself, sounding as if he cared, and walked past her, a silent, brooding presence that walked to the door and out, leaving to the doors of the outside with his equally shadowy companion.

Jasmine frowned, watching them leave. Meeting Wedge had caused more problems than she could try to figure out solutions to. She decided to just let them be for now. She wasn't going to go home, but maybe trying to be more careful would be smart. She left the mall, heading to the grocery store that wasn't that far away. She needed time to think.

Instead of going back to the base, Wedge and Undramon stalked the streets of Acamina, eyes straight and dark as they walked, passing by store, person, and the occasional rookie or champion digimon. Wedge thought to himself, Why aren't these digimon back in the Digital parts of the world? And why aren't they attacking these humans, some of these scum have judged them freaks, or creatures of disgust, and yet, here they are, assisting and even enjoying assisting humans... makes me sick He frowned in anger, and he knew Undramon could tell he was upset.
